What Is Onda Pro?
Onda Pro is a non-invasive contouring and tightening treatment built on Coolwaves® technology, developed by DEKA in Florence, Italy. Unlike radiofrequency or ultrasound platforms, Onda Pro delivers microwaves at 2.45 GHz, a frequency absorbed more readily by fat than by water. That selectivity is what allows the energy to bypass the epidermis and concentrate where it is needed, in the tissue below.
Once absorbed, the controlled heat produces three distinct effects. In the subcutaneous fat layer, it disrupts the membranes of adipose cells, which are then cleared gradually through the body’s own metabolic and lymphatic processes. In the connective tissue surrounding fat lobules, it acts on the fibrous structures responsible for the dimpled, orange-peel appearance associated with cellulite. And in the dermis, it contracts existing collagen fibers while stimulating the production of new collagen, which is what produces the firming effect.
Throughout the treatment, an integrated continuous contact cooling system keeps the surface of the skin at a comfortable temperature while the energy does its work underneath. Three handpieces, each calibrated to a different depth, allow your clinician to shift between fat reduction, texture, and surface firmness within the same session.
Onda Pro for the Face
On the face, Onda Pro is used primarily through the Pocket handpiece, which concentrates energy at a focal depth of approximately 3 mm. This is the layer where small pockets of fat and early laxity sit together, which makes it well suited to the lower third of the face.

Because the treatment requires no needles and no numbing, facial sessions are short and clients return to their normal routine immediately afterward. Where the goal is deeper structural lifting rather than contour refinement, Ultherapy PRIME® or Thermage® FLX may be the better foundation, with Onda Pro layered in for texture and fat.
Onda Pro for the Body
On the body, the Deep and Shallow handpieces are used together to treat larger areas. The Deep handpiece reaches the subcutaneous fat layer and is used across broader zones such as the thighs, back, and abdomen. The Shallow handpiece works closer to the surface, where it addresses the connective tissue behind cellulite dimpling and firms crepey or loosened skin.

Who Is A Candidate For Onda Pro?
Onda Pro is best suited to clients at or near a stable weight who are working on specific areas rather than overall weight reduction. It is a contouring and tightening protocol, not a weight loss treatment.
Onda Pro is not appropriate during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, or for clients with active skin infection or inflammation in the treatment area, significant vascular disease, or a history of clotting disorders. Your clinician will review your full medical history at your assessment.

Before the Treatment
The area is cleansed and mapped, and a coupling gel is applied so the handpiece glides smoothly across the skin. No numbing agent is needed.
The Procedure
Your clinician selects the handpiece or combination of handpieces appropriate to the area and the depth being treated, then works across the mapped zone in steady passes. Most clients describe the sensation as a deep, even warmth rather than the sharp heat associated with other energy-based platforms.
Three Handpieces, Three Depths
The Deep handpiece reaches the subcutaneous fat layer and covers larger surfaces efficiently. The Shallow handpiece works nearer the surface for connective tissue and skin firmness. The Pocket handpiece concentrates energy at roughly 3 mm for smaller, more precise areas, including the face. Handpieces are frequently used together within one session to address multiple layers of the same area.
Comfort and Safety
The system delivers up to 200 watts of power while an integrated continuous contact cooling plate maintains a comfortable surface temperature. Contact sensors and real-time temperature feedback monitor delivery throughout the session.

A Frequency No Other Device Uses: At 2.45 GHz, Coolwaves® energy is absorbed more significantly by subcutaneous tissue than by the skin itself. Onda Pro Recovery and Results
There is no recovery period associated with Onda Pro. Clients return to normal activity, including exercise, the same day.
Immediately After Treatment
Mild warmth or light pinkness in the treated area is normal and typically resolves within a few hours. The skin is not broken at any point during the treatment. We encourage good hydration in the days that follow as the body clears the treated tissue.
How Results Develop
Weeks 1–2: Some clients notice early changes in firmness and contour after a single session, particularly in smaller, more defined areas.
Weeks 4–8: As treated fat is cleared and collagen remodeling progresses, changes in contour and skin texture become more visible.
Months 2–3: The full effect of the series develops as collagen continues to mature and the body completes clearance of the treated tissue.
