What Is Ultherapy PRIME®?
Ultherapy PRIME® is a premier medical-grade treatment that uses micro-focused ultrasound energy to lift and tighten the skin on the face, neck, and décolletage. It is the only FDA-cleared, non-invasive procedure that uses ultrasound with real-time imaging to lift the eyebrow, neck, and submental tissue. By heating the deep dermis and the SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system), the same fibrous layer tightened during a surgical facelift, the system triggers a regenerative response that produces new collagen and elastin without disrupting the skin’s surface.

The Procedure
After identifying the target areas during your assessment, a smooth applicator is placed against your skin. This applicator projects an image onto a screen, allowing our clinician to see the layers of tissue we are treating. As the micro-focused ultrasound energy is delivered, you may feel tiny amounts of energy, as heat or tingling, being deposited at precise depths. This indicates that the collagen-building process has been initiated. A typical session lasts between 30 and 90 minutes depending on the treatment area.

The advantage lies in the micro-focused ultrasound with visualization (MFU-V) imaging technology. This allows us to avoid hitting bone or blood vessels while ensuring the energy is concentrated in the SMAS layer or deep dermis.
